Kathy Mendham – Meathrel has been buying and selling homes in London Ontario since she became a REALTOR© in January 2007. Kathy's love of Real Estate began when she was a new home buyer making the purchase of her first home in the Old North community of London Ontario in 2002.

"My husband and I could not agree on if we wanted to purchase a new or older home in London. We were very difficult clients for our agent (sales representative), we probably viewed dozens of MLS homes for sale, over many months before we were able to purchase our house. I remember my experience house hunting and I am inspired by it to be an excellent agent for each and every client."

After buying her new home, Kathy continued to follow the real estate market in London Ontario, establishing extensive market knowledge of many London communities.

"Real Estate was first my hobby before it became my profession. I would follow the London market by regularly checking what new homes MLS had for sale and what prices houses had sold for, I would also attend the occasional open house. This early activity really helped me when I became a REALTOR©, since I was able to hit the ground running."

Kathy made the decision to switch careers from the mutual fund industry and become a real estate agent, when her employer decided to move from London Ontario while she was on maternity leave. During 2006 she studied and passed the three real estate professional training courses required by the Ontario Real Estate Association, earning the standard probationary real estate license in October. The following year while working as a Real Estate sales representative Kathy completed the 3 additional continuing education courses to obtain her full real estate license in December 2007.

Kathy’s latest big move of her real estate career occurred when she made the decision to change brokerages. In February 2009 Kathy become an Executive when she joined the London Ontario office of Realty Executives (Elite Ltd Brokerage).

"I really love working at Realty Executives (Elite Ltd Brokerage) here in London. The office has such a positive attitude, there is such a depth of real estate experience to draw from. At Realty Executives I can take advantage of all the cutting edge real estate tools they have available to buy or sell London homes."

Kathy was born and raised in London Ontario Canada. She is married with two children and currently lives in the Old North area of London.

Kathy attended Fanshawe College where she earned a diploma in Marketing. Prior to becoming involved in real estate, she had a successful career in the banking industry, where she quickly became focused on mutual funds. She completed her Canadian Securities Course and was a licensed Mutual Funds representative with Dundee Wealth Management.
